Undersea Voyager Project
Hi guys,
I have taken on a project and assisting a very good friend of mine who is the Founder of "Undersea Voyager Project", Scott Cassell. Many of you may have seen him on Discovery during Shark Week with his documentary regarding the Humboldt Squid. We are looking for a usable pontoon boat structure and a usable trailer in the size range of around 25'. This boat will be repurposed and utilized as a two man submersible deployment platform. The upper structure doesn't matter since he will be redesigning and building it to suit the needs of the submersible mission. By being able to use the pontoon boat, he and his team of volunteers would be able to transport the submersible easier and safer than towing in the water. By transporting it on a platform, the chances of damage or injuries to personnel would be greatly reduced. His Foundation is a non-profit and it is my goal to find him the boat and trailer that can be used. I have included his information below incase anyone wants to check his foundation out. I am trying to find someone or an organization willing to donate the needed items. The good part is, the person or organization will be able to take it as a donation deduction since his Non-Profit Foundation has an EIN on file with the IRS. This task is new to me so I am looking for any suggestions anyone may have that could provide ideas that will allow me to locate a usable platform. If you have any questions, please PM me and I will get them over to Scott. Thanks again everyone and ideas or suggestions are truly welcom. Cheers Tevor Here is his info Scott Cassell CEO & Founder Undersea Voyager Project www.underseavoyagerproject.org

If you can't find a private donor why not look for Corporate Sponsorship? Several Rod & Reel company's have pontoon boats that are used for fishing derby weigh in stations. They might donate the use of one for advertising space on the side of the boat.....Same with a marine motor supplier.
