Today I got chastised at lunch because I dip my pizza in ranch dressing (apparently that's an abomination to do to even bad pizza). I also eat my over easy/medium eggs with maple syrup, put ketchup in my macaroni and cheese and eat cantaloupe with black pepper on it.

I can see the lasagna comparison. I'd probably give it a shot. I'd try ranch on just about anything once. Hey, eggs and syrup = breakfast...

Well, There are worse things to put into Mac n Cheese. I do love mustard.

Ketchup and mustard mixed together on french fries.

Neither one of those sounds weird.
I wanted a savory (vs sweet) version of oat meal. I tried bacon bits and sauteed onions which was good, but then you've got to do that extra cooking. I eventually settled on a little soy sauce and some cheese.

That does seem a bit odd.

My father's favorite was steak and mayonnaise.

I like cottage cheese, but I don't think I'd want that one. Steak and mayo doesn't seem that weird.

right, it's certainly not my thing, but way too many people do ketchup on eggs for it to be considered weird.

I don't have any peculiar things that I eat but my dad and his brother had a couple. One was eating fried potatoes and chocolate pudding together, the other was eating cornbread and buttermilk mixed together in a big glass, somewhat like a parfait. Naturally, I have tried neither of these things, I'm content to imagine that they would not be tasty.

The cornbread and buttermilk is something that my grandfather used to do. I assume it's a southern thing.

My son once added cayenne powder and tuna to mac n cheese. I thought that was gross, but one day I heated some that he'd had leftover up because I didn't realize that it wasn't just mac-n-cheese. Since I'd heated it up, I figured I needed to eat it since it wouldn't likely heat up well a second time. It was actually very tasty.

I assume oat meal with soy sauce and chunks of cheese would be considered weird by most (I know my wife won't touch it).

Dude! Nothing weird about Indian food.

Snyder's sourdough pretzels and milk (preferably chocolate) or with ice cream.
Peanut butter, jelly and banana on a flour tortilla shell

I don't/won't eat this, but I know a dude who orders the infamous "Hawaiian Pizza" whenever his wife gives him a kitchen pass to leave the house. Not as strange as some of the other combos here, but not good when you're more of a "purist"...

This actually sounds really good. I gotta try this! Love me some pumpernickel.

A box of Kraft mac n cheese with a can of tuna and a can of peas was a regular dinner at my house when I was a kid. Still make it at least once a year. Just a poor mans (and easier) version of tuna noodle casserole.

Hawaiian pizza has been a thing around here for decades. Canadian bacon, pineapple and cream cheese (with some putting green peppers on theirs). You either love it or hate it. I don't go out of my way to get it but if it's there I will eat it and enjoy it. But just a slice will do. Don't know how anyone can eat an entire pizza of that.

Peanut butter and onion sandwiches

cairns 06-14-2018 04:54 AM

Not too weird but peanut butter, mayo and banana sandwiches.

I would eat the hell out of this!!!! Being an IT professional, a great many of my team members are Indian! I love going out to lunch with them!

berettafan 06-14-2018 06:44 AM

that balti stuff looks delicious!

For me----Red wine and walnut brownies

frozen fries or tater tots right out of the bag

crab mustard (yellow only, not green). I dip fries and of course claw meat in it.

vash 06-14-2018 07:19 AM

my food choices are pretty "missionary style". straight forward.

no peanuts in cocacola or anything.

Hawaiian pizza is my jam. but again..not that weird anymore.

sand_man 06-14-2018 07:31 AM

I'm sure to catch heat for this, but I'm always amazed at the number of items people put into their chicken or tuna salad!!!! I tend to be a purist with most things. The protien is really meant to be the star. For tuna: salt, pepper, chopped celery (or celery salt), mayo, and a nice squeeze of lemon. The condiments go on the actual sammy (lettuce, onion, tomato, etc...) not in the salad.

Same for chicken salad: salt, pepper, celery salt, chopped celery, mayo, and maybe one other spice. None of this grapes, walnuts, raisins, prunes, apples, yada for me.

Being raised by Dutch parents I ate more than my share of sugar sandwiches with butter :)

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1528991386.jpg

Took my wife to Holland and ordered french fries from a street vendor. They came fresh out of the fryer wrapped in a news paper cone and topped with fritessaus. My wife was disgusted - she was expecting ketchup. After one taste she was hooked and her take on fritessaus is a staple in our home.

I will put avocado on just about anything.

sand_man 06-14-2018 07:58 AM

I used to work for a company that had it's headquarters in Pittsburgh. I remember the sandwiches and salads being topped with french fries...Primanti Bros?

Also Poutine (Canada) is interesting; fries, gravy, and cheese curds!!! I liked it!

911 Rod 06-14-2018 08:05 AM

Peanut butter on toast with a big chuck of cheese on the side.

When I eat chocolate fudge, it's so good to have potato chips after.

Raw hot peppers with all my meals.

sand_man 06-14-2018 08:07 AM

OH MAN...this also works for me, in EVERY way:
