married 40 years today !
Wow where has the time gone ? As of today my lovely wife Sue and I are married 40 years
 We married early I was only 20 so we're not fossils yet  We are both retired and enjoying life , we bought each other some small gifts and we made dinner reservations at a local restaurant . She has put up with a lot from me it took me a while to grow up  But through good times and bad we were and are a team that supports each other . We have two boys now in their 30's and three grandchildren . The boys have never been in trouble , both work and contribute to society  . Life can't get much better than today but we are looking forward to 50 years

At what point did you realize it just wasn't worth it to fight back? For me, it was around 10 years of marriage. Just had our 36 year celebration...congratulations by the way.
