Angry help help help....

I just purchase a 75 targa S as a Project so some real retard over painted the door post VIN decal how the hell am II going to reproduce one?

If any body could help would be greatly appreciated!

Technically it is illegal to reproduce a VIN. You can, however, order a replacement from Porsche.

Have you tried any solvents on the paint? Some may give decent results without harming the sticker. But... I would not just jump in and start with lacquer thinner, use milder solvents till you find what will soften the paint.

There is a vendor on the EarlyS board that is reproducing the decal on the rear door jam. You have to punch the vin but they look good.
