My rockers were like 1/2" of bondo. And the rest of the entire body had a coat of bondo. It's ALL coming off :)

well, the wire wheeling took me a lot longer than i thought,im gonna try n fashion a shadetree rottiserie tomorow so i can finally start tackling the floor. does anyone think it would hurt the value of the car much if i eliminate the gas door in the fender and create a fuel filler neck in the trunk? i want to get the floor done so i can start on some body mods,i have trouble leaving well enough alone.

Super Rat, have a look at what I did for a rotisserie http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/530909-my-alternative-rotisserie.html

You've certainly got some work there, but every bit of steel in your photos has replacements available so it's definitely doable. Looks like the majority of the work is fixing what a PO has "fixed" previously

pksystems 10-09-2010 10:40 PM

wtf did you get all those pictures of my car???? :)

I bet your rockers are all bondo like mine where.

super rat 10-10-2010 06:12 PM

yeah, rockers are solid bondo,im gonna try not ***** about it,hard to figure out how poeple can disrespect a car like that, especially a porsche, seems like goin back to the store for the fifth or 6th gallon they'd start questioning thier abilities! that alternative rottiserie is cool.checked out your build thread scott, nice work!i do sheetmetal shaping by trade but mainly motorcycle stuff.so i was hopin to not have to buy replacement stuff, cuz as usual im pretty much broke.we'll see how it comes together.i'll try n dig up a pic of some of my sheetmetal work.
