Installed the calipers...
![]() I had installed the clip to the existing line thinking that the one that came with the brake kit attached to it... nope, that flexible line has to be remove as well... ![]() ![]() And since nothing has been easy on this car... guess what? Yeah, the lines would not come loose... hard lines would simply not come out... It took a lot of WD40, praying and cursing (Yin-Yang ![]() ![]() But they came out in pieces at the end... ![]() ![]() And good thing I had new lines just in case this happened... ![]()

Wachuko as an experienced builder good move to reverse the trailing arm bolts. Things are coming together nicely.

I have done things so many times over and over due to my inexperience/mistakes, that I do not have an issue to go back and redo something if you see that it was done incorrectly. I still need to torque the hub nut to specifications, that is why you do not see the cotter pin in place ![]() ![]() ![]()

No you did it correctly. If the trailing arm has to come off for any reason you only need to take the nut off and pull the bolt out on the brake side. The factory installs them with the nut on the brake side but than you can't pull the bolt out because of the transmission. Most people cut the head off and than pull from the brake side. Just a pain to do with the tran in. Keep up the good work.

I have been busy with things related to my children. Baby steps working with the car is more than an understatement...
A few weeks ago (might be months now...time goes by so fast) I had to remove the driver side lock mechanism since it was broken. To do that, the window rails/frame had to come out. Anyway... all that was pending getting a replacement lock and the time to replace it. I did find a lock mechanism, from eBay, from a 1995 993. Turns out that it works perfectly in the older cars. Sorry about the lack of photos, I had my hands full trying to align the rails, then the glass came off the base, then the base came off the sliders, then...:icon501: anyway... I was able to put it all back together. Now I have a fully functional door with locks and everything. :jumper: But I can't test the door window mechanism because looking in the trunk, I have no negative battery cable! :soapbox: But hey... door is working and no longer have to keep it in place with a cord. ![]() Those are old bolts... I have new ones ready to replace those... ![]() Door handle back in place... ![]()

Between this nasty cold and the rain... not much done, but at least started working on it again.
Installed the new turn signal switch lever... ![]() Installed Rennline driver side floorboard... Installed driver side door panel. I had this waiting until I had finished the internal door lock mechanism... well, the lock was installed about a year ago and I never installed the door panel until now. Humm, now I remember, I was waiting to install the door mirror...that is why it kept sitting uninstalled... Anyway, I decided to install it now and I can remove when the time comes to install the mirrors. I still need to find again the template for the location of the mirrors... scare to drill holes in the wrong location, yikes... And for the life of me, I can't find the door lock plug... ordered one from our host... ![]() ![]()
