Small steps... but progress... fitting the rear bumper...

Future owner next to his car...

I thought that I had uploaded these photos... guess not...

I need to make time to stop and see how things are going... should be close to paint, maybe another month (month and a half) before it is parked in my garage so that I can start installing everything back...

Patience IS a virtue... this is just taking sooo much time....

Bumpers and engine lid now in primer. Frame for the front screen is also done. Stainless steel mesh arrived and will be mated to the frame next.

Alejandro continues to work on blocking the rest of the car to prep for primer...

I've been wondering, what is the advantage to that kind of gas tank with the filler cap in the hood?

It is just for looks...nothing else to me, it looks cool.

I totally agree, but I thought maybe there was more capacity or baffles in it or something. It's definitely not easier to fill. We have state mandated full service gas stations here in the Jerz, so I'm thinking I might skip it. :/

ohh... having someone else, that does not care about my car, with one of those gas hoses and the nozzle over the fender and hood... I can imagine the amount of scratches and cursing that would be going on...

Super! ...and Finally! I was beginning to wonder when we were going to see this come together.
Pardon me if it was said before but looks like your bumpers required similar attention as mine... do you mind sharing who made them? I fail to understand why they can't be made to fit correctly from the get go???

Those came with the car and the boxes and boxes of parts... sorry, no idea where those came from. But yes... lots of work to make them fit correctly.

He had to cut them to fit! Remember?

Can't remember... it is all PPG... I only have a photo of the primer we used, not the paint. But again, all PPG.

Primer

Cool

I have to say... very difficult color to photograph... and could not get it outside since it was raining... Alejandro started the wet sanding...

Leather to use on the dash and top of doors and windows... two tone interior... the bottom panels will be black...
