How long before applying graphics on new paint

We are almost at the paint stage in my backdate 73 RSR project. I have Carrera vinyl graphics to apply. How long should I wait before applying them on new paint?

you should wait until you can press you finger nail in the surface and it does not leave a nail mark .
if it leaves a mark the finish is still out gassing it's solvent's .
this will give bad adhesion of the vinyl it could lead to the vinyl delaminating or bubbles in the vinyl .

it depends on the cars panel temperature how much material (coats of paint) are applied and type of material .

most cases at about 70 degrees your looking at 48 hours .

I always give it the finger nail test .
in my area of the country we may have day time temps of 70 but at night the temp will drop down to 50 degrees .
this will add curing time to a finish .
it's also the temp of the panels not the air temp you have to go by .
the air temp maybe 70 degrees but the cars panel temps could be higher or lower then the air temp .
