I left my car idling for over a half hour this morning and when i revved it to about 4000 rpm it smoked a little (defintely oil). Was that something normal.
I was just warming it up to open the thermostat for the front cooler befor i changed my oil. Please advise. ------------------ 69` RS carrera clone 2.7 CIS |

I think many P-car mechanics do that. Don't think it does any damage although the owners manual recommends against it.

Perhaps a better way to warm up the motor before an oil change, would be to take the car for a brisk drive. Yah?
