David, I cut it myself with a pattern I made. Took it to an upholstery guy to bind the edges. I marked my material to layout the diamonds. I then had the upholstery guy follow my layout and stitch the pattern into the material. Hope this helps.

Did you ever finish the bumperettes that you were making in post #87? They looked cool. I made this set for my car, which is sort of the inverse of what you are doing. I made them by sectioning the originals, then fabbing the stainless spacer. They came out pretty nice, but in the end I decided to leave them off. Maybe I'll put them on my upcoming targa build, which will be named Indica.

madcorgi... I got off onto other things and haven't fooled with them any farther. I am of the mindset that I like them off. I haven't abandoned the idea tho. I actually prefer what you did with yours.... For now they are on the "I'll get to it eventually" list.

Well I've finished a big project. The mirrors are installed. So long flag mirrors..... The transformation is my take on a singer styled mirror. Using a Talbot styled mirror on
a custom short billet arm (drilled of course). The arm is attached to a triangular aluminum plate that attaches to the 1/4 glass. Powder coated finish. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you Magnus for the inspiration to use your shield decals in a unique way. They are mounted on .3 mm lexan. Then affixed to the car. Dual purpose. They look cool and hide the flag mirror holes for now.

Nice to see another vision, but since you posted I have to say I dislike the wheels, dislike the headlight rings not matching the car, and after trying to use the Vitaloni mirrors and seeing how useless they were, not a fan of those either. Car looks great otherwise!

Mirrors look awesome Steve.
Did you have to drill the glass and mount through them or how exactly are they attached? |

Scott, They are attached with that triangular bracket. Two of the edges are curved to grab the glass. I additionally used 3M's best tape with primer. They aren't going anywhere.... They are also really light compared to the flags.......

How is the visibility out of them? Pretty functional or a matter of looks over functionality? I have been known to do both. haha

Both...... Driver side function is great. Passenger side is good but not great. I am going to change out the glass on that side.

I really like the looks of what you have done, AG, but I think I'll want bigger mirror on my car. As an old racer, I like to see as much as I can (though I had some competitors who said I had no mirrors at all.) I had small mirrors on my '87 and didn't like them. Planning to replace my flags on the '85 with aero mirrors, if I can find a set at a decent price, preferably in white. Since there are so many white cars here. |

I see everything in the driver position....... and everything outside the vehicle's right fender about 18" away on the right side...... Working on a mirror glass change for that side now....

Got the motor mounts replaced and the Tranny mounts too. Went with the Wevo product line.
Both went in without any struggle at all. I don't understand the pissing and moaning I have read about on this forum regarding installation.

On the floor behind the passenger seat.....firing backward.
I hope you were asking about my sub and not my new puppy........ Otherwise this might be misconstrued.
