Not surprised that there are so many opinions. Its really cool to have a platform that can support so many different options. Its really unique.
Options I see: (let me know if i'm off base on cost) -Replace Head Studs and do top end only (~$6,000) -Full Rebuild 3.0 to stock specs (~$12,000) -Full Rebuild to 3.2ss, keep CIS (~$16,000) -Full Rebuild to 3.2ss with EFI (~$20,000) -Full Rebuild to 3.2ss with EFI and Carbs/ITB (~$24,000) -993/964 3.6 with top end rebuild (~$28,000) -993 VRAM with top end rebuild (~$32,000) Does this seem accurate? I hate to focus on cost, but it's always a consideration in my head.

I never regretted my 95 3.6 swap ... no more valves to adjust , more horsepower and torque and not too bad of an ordeal to install as all the parts/kits are available from Patrick Motorsports and Instant G , the key is to finding a donor motor that's still in relatively good shape !
