Reusing axles on 930-gearbox SC-installation?
A question:
We are going to re-use sway-arms on SC despite having 930 gearbox installed instead of 915, so it's only question of length and diameter. (yeah, we know SC-axles are somewhat weaker) Is 930 diff-housing as wide as 915 and do SC-axle splines fit into it? Thanx a bunch! P.S. Any other dimensional oddities with 930 gearbox in SC? It should fit right in, right? ![]()

930 stub axles are the same as the ones in a late model 915 and G50, So if you car is after a certian date (not sure of the date) and has the sealed CVs like the G50 had, the CVs and stub axles will match. If you have a 915 out of a car where you need the gaskets, you are SOL.
you can also put 930 stub axles into a 915, so I would guess you can go the other way, 915 stub axles into 930, and use the ones which require the gaskets if that is the kind of CV you have. Jim
