Bad threads in strut?
I just removed and cleaned off my struts, I discovered BOTH threaded holes in right strut which mounts to the brake caliper is shot, I could wiggle my threading pin circa 1-2 cm at each direction.
The bolt it self is in bad condition, rounded edges in the thread. I just bought M12 1.75mm bolts DIN912 grade 12.9 (pretty high tensile strength stuff), I tapped the holes in the strut to M12 1.75, should I worrying about my life when I drive this car?. Or should I hardsoldering some more material and rethread with M12 1.5 and forget my new grade 12.9 bolts?. FYI: DIN912 Grade 12.9 bolts is used in Movit hardware.

I just looked after my old bolts to the same mountings, these was grade 8.8!, 800MPa tensile strength compared to 1200MPa tensile strength for the grade 12.9
I´ll stick to these bolts and use a locking nut in the opposite side of these holes I retapped.
