converting to headers... need oil hose solution

2.7L 7R case engine. going with headers. a rubber hose leaving the left side of the engine and crossing to the other side would work if I was running conventional heat exchangers. with headers I'm not sure I can keep such a hose isolated from the header pipes.
your thoughts are appreciated.

Use the early oil crossover line. There is the 26mm version that goes over the bell housing and the 30mm which I think goes underneath the bell housing. Both of these are full metal hard line all the way from the case to the mounting under the engine oil cooler.

Chuck does amazing work. I have the pictured line on the shelf & ready to adapt to my system. if it proves inadequate I'll pay Santa Clara a visit. thanks!

Yes. However, the permanently attached flex hose section was prone to leak and was superseded by an all metal version and a separate hose. IMHO, the hard tube section sits close to the exh tubes and should be insulated to minimize heat transfer to engine lube.

thanks Sherwood... this example is how I'm leaning @ the moment as I can make up the hose end to suit my non-stock application.
where might one source insulation ?

As suggested, purchase just the hard line, then have a hose service (BoxsterGT here) or a local Hoseman service to fabricate the flex hose to your specs. Chuck at ER can also set you up with his “up-and-over” version.

Insulation doesn’t have to be fancy nor extensively applied. There are several off-the-shelf fiberglass and equivalent wraps and sleeves as well as more mundane foil wrapped attic materials that would work.
