3.2 partial drop-engine support?

What's the best spot to support the 3.2 during a partial drop? Can't seem to talk myself into putting the jack, with folded towel on a block of wood, under the case seam.

should I put a block of wood under each heat exchanger and bridge across with another piece-jack in the middle?

Or where?

Or am I thinking too hard?

I have used something similar to what is below. Although not a 3.2 the concept is similar. I think it is an ATV / motorcycle jack.

I've used a cherry picker and a chain bolted to each side of the rear engine support bar. It was pretty solid.

This is what I used for a partial lift. You can see the crease in the phone book.

Best use of a phone book I have seen in 15 years! Nice innovative thinking.

Where's a phone book when you need one!
Thanks for all responses and please keep them coming-not sure what I'm going to do yet. I think my engine oil cooler has bad seals...
