Caliper Orientation
Long story short, I decide to replace the front and rear calipers on my 87 911. Unwittingly, I installed the new front calipers so the bleeder screws were faced down not up. Bad mistake. After numerous attempts to bleed the brakes- no success.NO BRAKE PRESSURE. Consulted several several experienced brake experts, No success until I saw a post on this site. I simply switched the front calipers. Re-bled the brakes. Almost immediately, I found I had full brake pressure.

Yes, they certainly bleed better when they are the right way up. |
