Glad to hear that you will still be posting here. Your advice has saved many of us from stupid mistakes and a lot of time and money. I'm sure that you will remain busy with some shop work and those "when I get some time" projects.
Glad you rebuilt my 915 several years ago. |
Best of luck, and glad to hear that you will not be leaving the forums.
|
Congratulations John. As others have said and I have found, you won't be bored (busier than ever!) now that you are retired. And I'm so glad you will still be active on the forum, your advice is held in high esteem by all.
|
Have some PNW style "apple pie" and enjoy retirement.
Remember, every day is a Saturday from now on. Keep repeating this to yourself and you might get used to it. If not, the word retirement is nowhere to be found in the Bible either as I've been told. |
It sounds a good game plan John. A lot can be said for not owning/renting g a building and needing to work to pay expenses. From home you can do nothing, or pick a really interesting project that pays well and is only a few hours a day.
Have fun! |
Congratulations John! The only problem that I see with this move is that you're not making the move to Austin. ;) We would love to have you here!

Have a great "semi-retirement" John. I've always read your posts with interest. I am about to embark
on my chain tensioner rebuild with copies of your notes & comments at hand for immediate reference. Thank you for the time & effort you've invested in this forum. Cheers JB |
Congratulations, John. Glad to hear you’re continuing to work and contribute here. It’s great to have a source of reliable advice.
|
Enjoy the change. Change is fun and refreshing.
|
From a selfish point of view, I hope your swap meet continues. May not buy much but it is always a good time.
|
The plan is to continue the swap meet.
|
Excellent John and thank you for continuing the fun. Wyoming hoarder not included. ;)

Marysville is a much nice place anyway - West Seattle is expensive, too much traffic, and the access sucks.
32 miles is a half hour when there is no traffic, but that is never, so, LOL. One of the nice things about the move is that if someone wanted to drop the car off and leave the keys, they could probably do it and not worry about the car. Not so much at the Greenwood location. |
It's a nice little town. A good police presence keeps the crime down, unlike Seattle. No tent cities, no soliciting. I'm northeast of Marysville proper a bit, up a hill in the woods.

Good luck to you. |
Back of the shop. Another carport in that garden area would be nice.

Wow! What a beautiful place !!!
|
Wow! That place looks perfect. Congratulations, John.

Sweet set up John.
I have to wait 4 more years, then do the same thing. Escape the rats.... :) |
Lots of organizing to do still. Why the heck do pics post sideways when I hold the phone up normally?
