What happens if I turn on my car without an engine?

I took my engine and trans out...
I need to roll down my windows and was wondering if I can hook up my battery, turn the key to get power to my door windows and roll them down???

(I need to take off my doors and remove the glass)

so the fuel pump won't suddenly kick on and start spraying fuel everywhere?

No, the fuel pump won't run till the ECU sees flywheel pulses. Ergo,
no engine no pulses from flywheel. If it makes you feel more comfortable,
unplug your DME relay.

You’ll blow up your engine.

tape off the positive lead that normally goes to the starter. Bad things happen when it grounds against the chassis under the passenger seat pan. Otherwise, you are good to go.

yes, A motronic will not trigger the fuel pump. but I would probably pull the relay as a precaution.

You stick your head out the window and yell out, "Vroom, vroom, vrooOOOOm..."

But maybe that's just me.

good idea on the starter... I'll double check other lead wires, just in case.
