Newest Uro windshield seal doesn’t fit very well

My guy has been doing Porsche, Ferrari etc, too since 1971. He was very impressed with the URO. Those were his sentiments. No gaps at all on my end! Just a lot of time was taken to get the trim just right.

Happy burnt rubber trails!

Mine was a factory seal. . . .

Apparently the seals fitment is very dependent on the correct alignment of the trim pieces.

. . .

That is indicative of poor component design and a generally crap product - Porsche being guilty of both on many fronts (not just the window seals).

+1 for URO I guess. But they have been negative for so long, it's going to take more than a window seal to bring them out of the red. Now only if they can make a real master cylinder that will not kill you, then that'd be great.

FWIW, the folks at URO had sent me a new windshield seal after following this thread I’d started. It took a couple of months to get the time to have the glass guy come out to my home and reinstall. The replacement seal was far better! Definitely a bit wider around the perimeter, can tell by how it lays over the wiper bumps. And it sits in the lower corners correctly too. I was concerned it wasn’t perfect especially the lower drivers side, but after a month or so in the heated garage it has laid down perfectly.

Thanks URO. Good parts are only half of the equation, excellent customer service is the other half. You’ve shown you’ve got both
