Looks like a 2.2 to me. I guess you would need to run the numbers. The fan housing number above does not help. You need to find the number on one of the halves.

Need the Engine Type numbers (stamped on the right side of case next to the camshaft oil line) and the Engine Serial numbers (stamped on the left side of the fan support on the case).

Thats what tells you what you have.

It would still be of interest to learn the motor number and type. That will tell you much more about what you have.

I remember one of these threads a few years back. The engine in question was a 4 cam and Grady Clay was instrumental in getting this engine to market at market value.
I was a little disappointed that this wasn't another 4 cam!

This layman says a solid maybe.

While you wait for numbers, here is a thread where the carbs Steve mentions are for sale. May be of no value but you can compare against what you your pic shows. Hope this works out for you.

One of the greatest threads ever. An Ernst Fuhrmann 4 cam.

The poor OP was getting pounded on for being a troll given the rarity of the engine. "Like, how can you have that engine and not know"

Grady let loose on the entire community here about what pr*ks we were being. Things settled down and the thread became a joy. I remember Grady taking it from him in exchange for a nice car but I could be wrong.
