Maxilite Fuchs quality?

The Maxlites I have came with a polished finish, just painted black between the petals. Smooth surface finish on the lips, not machined groves like Euromeister.

I wouldn't use them on the track or in a performance setting.

Then again, most original-equipment Fuchs are pretty fatigued; I would be concerned using them on the track too.

Interesting. My Maxilites are much smoother than my Euromeisters. Can you post some pics of your Maxilites?

flat six ..i used to have 245/50/16 and i loved the look but hard to get those tires nowadays in Europa

We run them on our group 4 rallye car and we do compete in the FIA rallye championship. Never had an issue so they should surive anything you throw at them on street or track.

interesting they may have started that on some batches, if that is the case- just about perfect then!

My apologies for asking basic questions, but I find the whole Porsche wheel thing quite confusing. I have 16" Euromeisters on my car (85 Carrera) and 15" original Fuch's that need to be restored. Looking at my tire choices on the 15's, I don't know if it is worth it to restore them.

Question: if you won't track max lites or Euromeisters, what do you track? I can't imagine tracking my 33 year old wheels.

flash.. as i said the look is great .....but in Europe they are not available..so i got use the look with 245/45/16..;-)

Also ,once one 911 parked next to me in Saint Tropez with the 245/45/16 and my 911 was much higher looked like monster next to the other 911...

I do see the difference, but is that from grooves or from the anodizing? Because the Euromeisters have grooves through the entire wheel that will easily catch your finger nail. I had mine hydro-blasted to get rid of them. My Maxilites are smooth.

ok just checked side by side (have both types).
euromeisters as you say, have coarse grooves you feel with your finger nail.
however my maxilites also have them albeit finer, and you cannot feel them at all. they may have changed their finish since then.
