Cht sensor

i HAVE 1984 3.2 CARERRA.
Trying to get the CHT sensor out of the head.
Soaked it in wd40 still wont move,
Scared to put to much pressure on it just in case it snaps or strips the thread.
Does any know if it is easy or not to snap or strip the thread. or am i ok to put more pressure on undoing it.

If it is the original CHT from 1984 is has been in there a long time. Cut the wire, and use a full socket with a quality tight fit. Not some cheap Chinese socket. It will come loose with a pop. You will need a CHT socket to get the new one seated properly. Or cut a long slot in a cheap Chinese socket.

I think all the heads have a provision for a CHT, right? I'm not suggesting it would be desirable, but if yours breaks off, or strips the threads out, it wouldn't be the end of the world to wire in to a different location. It's been a minute since I've looked at the heads though (thankfully, knocks on wood)

I’m pretty sure it’s blind, going from memory... look at the holes on all the other heads, should be able to see exactly what you’re working with
