Bohemia & 911 Carrera
Bohemia the Czech Republic where my 911 ended up after leaving Germany back in 1985 going to Finland then going to California where i was looking for it for 8 years, before friend call me he found one. Then it went for 10 years to France and now back where my live journey started back in 1983.
Ivan Yes , Bohemia is the place where Ferdinand Porsche was born. some work done past years like a new dash or new windshield...other then this redone engine back in LA in 2009..yes the millage is original..to the car and engine. Santa Monica the week i got the 911 in 1996-- http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201903011742133536.JPG France very nice rides around my house near Gorges Du Verdon http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201903011740411639.JPG Back in Czech Bohemia in Eger-Land http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201903011743015171.JPG |
Thats some serious mileage, looks like my 87 when I got it.
You must have had it painted, looks much fresher than half a million miles. How will you celebrate 500k miles or 1M Kilometers ?? |
Hi ,well..Yes friend of mine said to me before i took it to San Pedro docks shipyard..(back in 2009) take it apart and i will paint it for you ..when i got it back he said" enjoy "... it is a gift;-)
So I dressed it up and went to the yards following week. Good question which trip i should take ,did not think about it yet... Ivan http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201903041337334653.JPG |

Wow Ivan!
You brought over a bike too? How cool. Thank you for the pictures. |
HI Dan..funny..no i did not, it was actually parked in a little village when i was picking my moonshine-Slivovic- from the distillery shop.. i drove home and there it was.. i had to turn around on the freeway to come back to take these picks. I`ve found the guy and he said he got it from one CHP officer even with the uniform back in 2003..;-) I thought the CHP boys are payed good ;-)?For some weird reason it was nice to see the bike again....

Wonderful, wish I could be in Bohemia for the celebration when you hit half a million miles!
Good story Ivan. Did not know Ferdinand Porsche was born in Bohemia. |
Hi Mike you are funny, i knew it all my live but over the ponds not too many peeps know about it;-) i was there last year..it is about 3 hours from my house..
post number 3 above |
Ivan -- any reason you went with H5 assemblies over h4? It's my understanding that the limiting factor in the h5 setup is the lens (which has pretty much the same poor cutoff/aiming as the us-spec sealed beam headlights have) and that the eurospec (e-code) h4's provide a much sharper cutoff and better focused light.
NICE looking car :) |
hi Darrin...i like both looks - i do not really care much for the Euro H4 which everybody has on theirs 911.
If i need to test the car every 2 years i use H4 ..then half a year later i change the look for H5.Actually i do like the H5 line makes on the road. And to be honest i do not really drive at night..For daytime running light as you can see above.... Basically H4 makes a very nice euro specs light that is true, but the look of H5 i like a lot...mind you not to many on the road in Europe with those;-)I do not even like the yellow rear tail lences so i use US types, Red;-) That is the reason Darrin;-) http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201906272022009363.JPG BTW..thanx.... So ,after replacing left rear wheel bearing i went for a little road test.
All good , Idrove the sh##t out of it for 100km...Most likely i will replace the other side since i have the bearing. After all it took me 2 hours to do it;-) http://img.pccreation.net/photos/20190814173939312.JPG http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201908141742374289.JPG little drive.... https://youtu.be/JvY9DABNAoI there came the perfect Kodak moment in the fields http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201908141812415440.JPG http://img.pccreation.net/photos/201908141817334527.JPG |
