Replacing early frt 911 shocks?

Any tricks or traps replacing the front shocks on my 71 911?

I'd like to do this with a minimum of fuss and without needing an
alignment!

thanks,
Rusty

Should be straight forward per the 101 Projects Book. Thats what I used when I did mine. Took about 30 min a side. No alignment needed. Hopefully you dont have the self leveling type that some Es had. I cant remember excactly which year they were on, I thought the 71 & 72. Alot of them were changed out by owners though.
