Is the 911 CV Boot the same as a VW bus one?

I know 'similar' isn't the 'same.

But they are both made by Empi (cheap), just wondering if they are the same. (I'm ordering one for ..science). The Pelican one is on order (waiting...).

They're cheap junk, you'll be lucky if they last 1-2 years. Plus I doubt if they fit, have 6 holes, etc...

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Same manufacturer as the one listed here, Empi.

And.. Porsche is also 6 bolts.
And finally, they fit perfectly. In fact...drum roll, same part.

Garage
$.02 worth
The Empi's have 4 rubber folds in the boot portion, the Porsche ones have 3 folds.
For track use the Empi's are better due to the axle angles allowed.

For Canadians, cip1 has cheaper delivery as well. Good point on folds.

Not much in the way of bearings in just the boot...

Most people over fill them with grease and they deteriorate. Regardless of the brand.

They need the right amount of grease. And they'll go a long way.

Hilarious!

My question was actually referring to the actual CV joint.
Plenty of information to say that the boots are the same for Porsche/VW Bus, but - could the CV joint also be the same? They certainly look very similar.
