5 now. Although in reality I’m sure it’s a few hundred based on the number of views.
I’m in awe. I bought all the metal working tools but don’t know how to use them. Clearly I could’ve gotten by without them. Keep up the good work and ,and man you sure are persistent. Tony |

Thanks. Plenty of time to work on it since I’m pretty much stuck at home these days. What metal working tools did you buy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
This one really kicked my ass.
I had to cut out a ton of the race car fabrication to properly make the mount for the G96 transmission. It was a huge PITA, and a 100+ F heat wave didn't help!

In video 23, I carried on with the process of shaving the drip rails. Cut, grind tack grind tack grind cut, etc...

Love your approach on this build Mike, not afraid to follow your vision and figuring things out as you go! I imagine that it helps that you got the car fairly cheap and that it was already extensively cut and modified, so you are most likely increasing the value with your additional mods to make it streetable with a cool non-GT and retromod look.

Ran the coolant lines through the tunnel. Will be combining heat shielding with modern techniques and products to mitigate cabin heat:

It will be interesting to see how you get those oversize coolant lines out of the steering rack area. You still need 2 fuel lines going through the tunnel.

996 Shifter Install
Was pretty challenged trying to install the 996 cable shift 6 speed shifter into my G96-equipped 69 911, but I got it done!

Good videos and sub'd.
I hope that you can get a better welder to get you those dimes on your welds. Keep it up and keep going with the build. You are doing it right with some trial and error and moving forward with figuring it out Mike! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/clap.gif |
