I've seen a Blitz black '39...it's BADASS...

I gotta beat you to it on the 912, as that's what I'm doing, but with the classic "PORSCHE" script on the side.

I'm gonna one up you though...I've got full moon hubcaps...

there's a pic in the 912 area somewhere...

hold on...

ah yes....

Will the Full moons let the brakes cool? Cause I was kinda thinkin of solid Centerlines at one point. You need Mooneyes at the bottom of the front fenders behind the wheel wells.

it's a 912. I never get going fast enough to get the brakes hot. LOL!!!

They've been on for a month, and I haven't noticed any difference in braking.

the eyes will be there...

Shawn,

I've been looking into this satin finish already. Here's the culprit car:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066076190.jpg

I won't be doing it in black. I'm looking into a similar color but not the primer grey look. Maybe something like Randy mentioned. I'll keep ya posted on my progress.

Tyson's car is in black primer (from memory).

I would also be worried about keeping it clean. I would be scared it would end up looking "patchy".

The paint I am using is JD Blitz Black. It goes on smooth and is completely UV stable so it will never turn grey and chalky. Just a nice even semi-gloss black. Alot of streetrod guys here use it on their cars for that 50's rat rod look.

Just make sure the finished surface is not porous or it will deteriorate over time, you may need to clear coat it or something

blitz black isn't primer...it's satin black paint. JD uses it on chassis...
