What to use to keeps mats in place

My driver mat shifts forward on my carpeting in spite of having a thousand plastic spikes on the bottom. What do you use to keep your mat in place?

Jason

Lloyd Mats have straps to attach to the seat rails.

Jason,

I had mats like those with the thousand spikes on them - they ruined my carpeting in no time.

I still don't know how to keep the front mats and carpet in place - the straps to the seat rails don't work very well for me.

I have lloyd mats and I use the supplied straps attached under the seat. I also found it necessary to use a large binder clip on the door side to clip the mat to the carpet. Doesn't look all that great but it works.

I've owned my car for 18 years. It's been on my list to figure out the size of the female clips on the bottom of my overmat, and buy corresponding male clips, then strap them to the seat supports, for about 17.9 years.

I will use zip ties.

Twisted safety wire through the mat, back to the seat rail might be fairly invisible. Or a straight section of black coat hanger bent to a hook on each end.

2 piece Velcro Sticky Back to the floorboard is what I use after getting tired of replacing zip ties each time I vacuumed under the carpets especially around the pedal cluster. Zero movement.

I'm using a velcro also and it keeps my mats in place.

Same here (although 17 years)...

Just this summer I finally cut the loops open and bought new clip sets and strap off of amazon... there's enough strap left (if you cut only one side at the attachment/sewn point) to use with the new adjustable clip set. Then run the new strap in a loop around the seat mounts to the other side of the clip.

I think the total cost was around $10....should have done it years ago.

Edit: Total was $6: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078P3GMWV
