Stupid Question Regarding Fan Belt Swap w/ Factory Toolkit on a 71

Ok, maybe I'm missing something...

The fan is a 24mm nut. The fan is held with the special tool (2 pins for his model).

The factory tool kit doesn't have a 24mm wrench. But it has a fan belt.

So help me out. How was one (or not?) expected to change the belt on these with the factory tools?

Not that it matters, have a tool kit with an extendable 1/2" ratchet at 19mm, 24mm sockets...

You have a later alternator on your car. Probably with the internal regulator as well. You will need to do what I did and buy a 24 mm wrench. I have the same situation on my 1973

AH! Got it. The logic wasn't computing... I know I have the fan from the 71 (case and lower part is a 77), didn't consider the alternator, and yes, looks like it may be later.

Thanks
