Question Rear View Mirror Location

I had my windshield replaced, and the mirror seems awfully low now. I don't recall it obstructing my vision so much. Can an SC owner tell me the correct distance from the top of the windshield to the mirror?

Thanks!

If I remember right (from replacing mine a while back), The center of the mount was 4.25" down from the top seal.

you may want to tweak the position.. depends if you got a roll bar or not a tall guy.. cast an eyeball thru the mirror to rear on a level ground........Ron

Be aware if you put it up too high on the windshield it will interfere with the sunvisors, when their flipped down, like it does on mine 'cause some previous idiot reinstalled it without checking. I've spent two years trying to, carefully, get that sucker loose without breaking the winshield.

Ronin-

I'll give it a try again (carefully), I was been concerned too much heat would also affect the windshield (it was winter here 'til recently). The guy who installed it last used epoxy or "mirror adhesive" not the OEM double-sided tape, so I've been trying to be very careful.

Thanks,

Jerry M

4.25", huh? Well, then the "Porsche experts" who replaced my window were more than a little off.

Thanks for the info!
