One of the best threads I’ve read here in a while. Love these pandemic DIY threads I’ve been reading all over the internet. That motorcycle lathe idea and exhaust shield is brilliant.

Brilliant indeed!

Extra points for displaying the wheel on the grass. I cringe whenever I see pics of wheels on bare concrete (especially in for sale threads).

took 10 minutes per wheel from 220-500. Was extremely quick.

I’ve been very careful with them after finishing them, don’t want to refurb them again lol.

Wheels turned out great.

I'm curious though, why not use the drive wheels of the car with the car jacked up, running, in gear instead of the motorcycle?

I suspect maybe you did this after the engine was pulled.

Oh, and did you thin out the paint at all?

Yes, on the list to do last. Waiting till the paint cures completely.

Blasted with a glass media at 75psi
They came out great.

Which glass media? Glass bead, crushed glass and what grade? Sorry for the stupid questions.

My wheels have a 360 degree well between the petals and outer rim - using the pour methond on these will result in about 1/8" to 3/16" thick...... how did you deal with this?

Great job! Any video link on pouring the paint to the wheel?
Was there any paint drip on the back side of the wheel when
You poked the holes?
You got it spot on. For the paint I assumed you poked a hole
in the rustoleum spray can.
Thanks.
