Finished my first Technic set, the Porsche 911 RSR! Such a fun build.

High – Tall or Low-Profile Platform Bed Frame

With an increase in the number of platform beds in the market, choosing whether to go for a high-profile or low-profile bed can be overwhelming. While both these types of beds can be comfortable, your decision will largely depend on what you are looking for in a bed. When looking for a bed to purchase, most people prioritize comfort and end up forgetting other factors, one of them being the height of the bed.

The height of the bed contributes a lot to the comfort of your sleep. Choosing the wrong bed height is likely to strain your body during sleep. Some people prefer tall platform beds, while others prefer low profile platform beds. There are essential factors to consider, and some of them include; Besides, if you are looking for a tall queen platform bed, then visit our link https://platformbedexpert.com/best-queen-size-platform-bed-reviews/

Factors to Consider When Choosing the Height of The Bed
Climbing, or planting your feet are some of the factors to consider in a platform bed. More sensitive are those people with particular health conditions or people of age. Here are factors to consider when choosing the height of the bed.

1) User’s Age
The age of the sleeper is an essential factor to consider when looking at the height of the bed. For instance, older people are best suited for low profile platform beds because of mobility issues. With that said, low profile beds might not be too suitable for them because of their deteriorating cartilage.

Another sensitized group of people to look at are the kids. Children are known to be playful and will likely fall from the bed at some point. Also, if the foundation is too high, getting in and out of bed is a big problem. Some children, however, feel more comfortable in high profile beds. Therefore, a low-profile bed is suitable for kids.

2) Comfort
When shopping for a platform bed, comfort is one thing that comes top. The height of the bed should depend on your height. Ideally, if you are tall, choose a mattress foundation that is too low and will require you to strain when getting into or out of bed. Also, when sitting on the bed, your knees should sit parallel to the bed.

However, there is no rule that tall people are more comfortable in tall beds and short people in low profile beds. It all points down to the type of bed you are most comfortable in. Consider your past experiences with short or tall beds when making your selection. If you have been satisfied with a low-profile bed, you don’t have to change.

3) Mattress Height
The height of the mattress is another factor to consider when choosing how high or low a bed should be. There is a wide range of bed varieties in the market. Others come in single layers, while others come in as many layers as eight layers. Bedding can also add extra height to the bed.

When choosing a bed to take home, consider all these factors, and see the average height of your bed after putting the mattress and other bedding. Some people purchase a bed forgetting the additional height that will be added by various other bedding. If your mattress is multi-layer thickness, then choosing a low profile platform bed frame is a suitable solution for the bedroom.

4) Bedroom Aesthetic
When you have a specific look, you want in your bedroom, the height of the bed is an essential factor to consider. Low profile platform beds are suitable for traditional looking bedrooms; high profile beds, on the other hand, create a regal and elegant feeling. When choosing which height to go for, think critically on the style you are trying to portray in your bedroom.

A standard bed measures 25 inches height, but you can choose to go higher than that if you feel the height is still too low. For instance, in a situation where you have a high ceiling in your bedroom, but you want a low-profile bed, you can choose to portray your bed as higher using a headboard.

5) Height
The height of the bed should go hand in hand with the height of the sleeper. Considering that the height of an average person is 16 to 25 inches, most beds in the market are made to suit people that height. The best way to test whether a bed suits your height is by sitting on the edge of the bed. Ensure that your knees are aligned to the hips

. If your hips stand above each other, the platform bed is not suitable for your height. Well, before looking at various other issues such as health, age, or any other thing, height is the first thing to consider. If you have a spouse, you should also consider their height when choosing the bed. Find a middle ground in case there is a massive difference in the height of the users.

6) Chronic Pain
Another critical factor to consider when choosing the proper height of the platform bed to take home is your physical health condition. One of the most common health conditions to condition to consider is fibromyalgia. With such a situation, getting in or out of bed is a big problem, and you don’t have to increase the problem by getting a tall bed.

Depending on the condition you are going through, a health specialist should recommend the most suitable bed height that suits your situation. Quality sleep contributes to your healing, and that’s why you need to get a bed that suits your condition.

Conclusion
When selecting the height of the platform queen bed to take home, you have a variety of options at your disposal to choose from. For you not to make, you need to have certain things you expect your bed to have. One of these factors is height. Both high profile and low-profile platform beds have their merits and demerits. If you are not certain which one of the two to take home, you can choose to look at the benefits and the faults of these types of beds. Do your research well; otherwise, you might end up making a mistake you cannot reverse.

Impressive kit, well done.
I'm not convinced in the looks department, though. It only resembles a 911, with a little imagination.

Cool! And Wellcome.
Next, you might consider this little project...albeit a bit dear.....

Word of caution. Spend time cutting and sanding off the little burrs off all the plastic parts, and test fit to ensure no binding BEFORE final assembly. It’s A cool motor.
Cheers,
Johan

I did that one as well. Pretty fun to build. My problem is it is so big it is hard to have space to display.

I would not have wasted my money or time on that thing. Doesn’t even look like a Porsche.

I built this as well. It was a lot of fun. Now I need to figure out where to put it.

Kick any puppies lately?

Nice welcome for someone who spent time on it and is obviously rather happy with the project. You've got my vote for 'most unnecessarily negative comment' this week.

OP: Good work. Anything with more than a dozen pieces has me scratching my head and searching for an 8 year old to help.

Welcome to the forum.

I saw my first 911 when I was 5 and built version after version out of LEGO - back when it was all mostly square. I remember getting my first minifigs in a kit that also had a steering wheel (the LL924 Space Cruiser set). That Space Cruiser stayed in the configuration all of 15 minutes before I pulled it apart to make yet another 911...

Good job and welcome to the forum. The model looks a lot larger than I expected.

I think it will go on my “Santa List” this year. 😉

I wonder how hard it would be to hack that into an RC car.
