Sorry for the tardy update. It was a simple fix - the idle adjustment screw was set to idle too high. I was convinced that the mixture screw and the AFM were out of whack, but it was simply the idle control screw. By adjusting the idle lower, the hunting went away and the air/fuel ratio stabilized.
