Starter connections on SC

I removed my starter as part of replacing the clutch pressure plate. The Bosch starter on my 3.0 apparently didn't come with the '77 2.7 this car started life as. In addition to the big battery cable and alternator cable on the 8mm post, there are two Faston-spade and lug connectors. One wire is fairly large, is yellow, and has to be the coil current supplier for the starter solenoid. The other is yellow/green, of smaller diameter, and goes to the cold start valve.

The '77 wiring diagram shows only one such spade lug connection - the solenoid coil - on the starter, with the wire to the CSV coming off a different connector. The '78 diagram shows what I have - two of these at the starter, though both are yellow. So I have a later starter.

But which wire goes on the lower connection on the starter, and which on the higher? I suppose I could just try how I put them on (after removing the starter) and see if the ignition key will make the starter run? If not, reverse them and it will be good?

But does anyone know which circuit is the bottom spade, and which the top?

Fat wire on 50, small one on 16. They are/were marked on the starter.

Well, I'll see if I can see either of these markings with the engine in the car. Easy to see in the diagram.

Thanks, guys. Save me yet another jack up the car, set the stands, and crawl under adventure. Much easier now before I put the tires back on.

I had it backward.

Borescope showed "PC1" or "P51" as best I could decipher what it showed. Neither of which quite fit 50 or 16. Maybe it was 16P that I saw.
