I lost several gauges when I gave them to someone locally to refurbish. Haunted him for over a year. After too many calls I caught up with him at his house. He offered me a credit. I wasn't about to give him anything else

I sometimes fixate on things and in retrospect I should have cut my losses and gone with another shop after the first mistake. The biggest thing that got to me is the guy never apologized or offered to compensate me for the $100 plus I spent shipping the same gauge back and forth to his shop. |

yup. i hear you. exactly.
i have sent things to California a few times - paid slightly more. was worth it, in retrospect. i'm disappointed, but not gonna lose any sleep over it. buyers beware. |
