83 SC Speedometer ok but odometer frozen?
Just got the 83 SC back on the road after 16 years dormant. Car is remarkably in great shape after fuels lines, brakes, etc.
the speedometer works but not the odometer, any advice for a fix? |

Likely the dreaded odometer wheel failure. An odo shop that knows furrin' cars is your best bet. Mark your wires after pulling it out of the dash.

Take a picture of your wires before you disconnect. I had a shop fix mine since I've never met a gauge I couldn't make worse by fixing it myself. The nylon/delrin gears are relatively cheap. Expect about an hour of shop time.

Lots of posts on here on how to fix. Used to do it before the internet pretty easily also.
