ISO 280 Micro Relays and Power Distribution Modules... need some sourcing help

Hi all -

I'm usually proud of my component sourcing via Mouser, DigiKey, Waytek and so forth but I'm stumped with ISO 280 Micro Relays. I would like to use this nifty 5 relay 10 fused bussed sub-distribution box however I really want each micro-relay to have two identical 87 terminals. Such relays are common in the larger sizes and very useful to have one relay power both L/R hi beams, lo beams, fogs etc. I can not find this arrangement for the Micro Relays. The only 5-terminal relays I find are changeover style NOT dual powered 87s.

The alternative I can see is a little less elegant - use the single 87 terminal micro relay then branch off at a junction.

Any thoughts?

As far as I know ISO 280 relays are available in SPST or SPDT. Don't think you'll find one in DPST or DPDT.

That is the conclusion I've come to from looking thru TE, Song-Chan and others.

The followup would be what is the cleanest way to buss one output to two.

I guess that may depend on how you are planning on fusing the system. Are you planning to use a single fuse supplying the relay, or are you planning to fuse each side (L/R) individually? i can reason to do it either way. a single fuse is convenient, then you would just need to split the output of the relay, but that would require you run full gauge wire to both sides since you need the fuse to be the limiter. but i f you are going to run individual fuse per side, you could run smaller gauge wiring since each fuse will be lower amp limiting. to do this you would run the output of the relay to the input of the fuse and bridge to the neighboring fuse for the second side.

Yes good point. I should also say I am open to suggestions of other power distribution blocks. I like the professional look of this Eaton/Bussman product, it doesn't look like it belongs on a hotrod etc.

using an older thread here... But are there any other RTMR options besides the Bussmann 15303 (now 15305)? It seems they are out of stock for months everywhere.

Totally backordered. I waited for maybe 8 months then cancelled an order.

Those Bussman bits are quite expensive...You might find some inspiration for using standard components here:

https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/custom-relay-panels/

There are a couple of fuse boxes on Amazon that are fairly elegant, and using double-sided Gorilla tape or wood screws to put relays on a board of ABS plastic goes a long way.

I found the price of the Bussmann quite good at around $30. Very nicely laid out, I have one on my Alfa now.
