Can I Run Without These?
OK... I am reaching the end of the tensioner update, the first real work I've done on any car.
The tensioners & new oil lines are in place... the muffler, engine shelf, & hoses that run through the engine shelf still haven't been put back on. I would like to start the car as it is, and let it run for a few minutes to make sure I don't have any oil leaks. I would hate ta have to take the muffler and shelf off again to tighten a banjo bolt a turn. So here is the question... is it possible, or advisable, to run the car for a few minutes without the 2 hoses that run from beneath the car, through the shelf, into the engine compartment attached? Is there another reasonable way to check for leaks?

Block them off if you run the car without them connected...
I would bolt the muffler on without using the straps, as long as you're not driving the car. This will take about five minutes... -Wayne
