I am guessing they didn't sell very many of them, not a very big market segment to start with. Plenty of people are fine with the stock radio or their JVC from the 2000s.... I just bought another one and overpaid for it in case there isn't a successor.

Did any of you update a working one? And if so, did it still work after the update?

I have not yet, but have read many accounts of successful updates and feature fixes through update (i.e. post-update, radio will turn on to bluetooth, rather than requiring cycling through options to enable bluetooth pre-update).

Have not read any account of firmware update bricking unit.

Just for people doing searches in the future, I will leave the link to my OneDrive up for a while. It my get deleted some time in the future when we are cleaning up old files and the link will no longer work. Just send me a PM and your email address and I will email it to you.

The firmware update is easy. Just be sure to put just one of the firmware files on the thumb drive, not both! Read the instruction I posted earlier in the thread. It is fast and easy to do and safe.

Important to note - ONLY use the upgrade IF your unit isn't working otherwise you can destroy the unit. I just got a Bremen and it's working just fine.

I received and installed my Bremen SQR 46.

I was prepared to install the update but looked at the version on my unit, (P1625107X), which looked to be newer than what was in the zip file.

Am I reading this correctly?

Would be nice to get firmware access again. I had the original firmware, so the one linked here fixed my issue with bt-streaming not coming back on as a source when I got back into the car!

Here's a link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AksntBvn1P1Tkf8AGlqS0VRZZFMj7w?e=8XhWeC

Two things (from the generous person who shared with me):
a) Make sure you read and follow the README file
b) The upgrade only worked for me when I plugged the USB drive into the
front of the radio, (I first tried with the rear input which failed)

Thanks to both of you gents, worked a treat. I'd upgraded it before but had an older version on there.

Only problem I had was apparently my first USB stick was faulty, as the radio got stuck alternating between "READING" and "WRITE ERROR", which scared the crap out of me. Fortunately just popping in a different USB stick with the file fixed it and it updated correctly.

I could sure use the latest update for my Bremen SQR DAB Radio. I bought the radio 12/20 and just haven't had the time to do the install. Getting ready to install in the morning. Anyway, is the FINAL update:

LU5350-S62(P1420052)?

Bill -- it's the most "final" version that I'm aware of. If anybody has a later version, send me a private message, I'm happy to host it/update my link above.

I just bought a unit this past week. Wanted to share that it came with a newer version that available in this thread:

P1827201X <- installed
P1420052X <- thread download

Wish I could rip it from the HU for y'all and share it. But perhaps knowing this is out there will help.

I go back and forth on keeping the modern Alpine that the PO put in, reinstalling the original or buying one of these. I've seen some mixed reviews and hopeful the latest firmware has addressed any issues. From which vendor did you buy the radio?
