Question Larger AC Condensor

Has anyone tried to mount a larger AC condensor in the rear of a turbo tail? It seems that I could install a condensor at least twice as large as the stock one, if I move it up into the top portion of the tail area. I'm about to do a hose replacement and wanted to know if anyone has tried this, before I get the hoses made. Thanx

MIke

Do a search, I think this has been covered before.

BUT... you don't wan't to do this. The whole point of the tail opening is to provide cool, fresh air into the engine compartment. The purpose of the A/C condensor is to take cool fresh air, and turn it into hot, nasty air. If you do this, you'd essentially be putting more heat in the engine compartment.

As Bush senior would say.. "Bad for the Economy!"

If you want some improved cooling, try the underbelly condensor. I believe Jack has one. You can searh the board for that as well.

Good luck!

Chuck

Some options:

Note the 930 rear deck condenser fan.
