Question Speed Sensor Unit 89 Carrera Question

I'm trying to troubleshoot speedometer issue. My speedometer/odometer does not work. After reading several similar posts, I decided to replace the speed sensor at the transaxle. I ordered the part from Pelican, but it doesn't look like the unit in the car, Am I looking in the correct place? (see pictures)

Right (passenger) side of transaxle. I could barely get camera in area to take photo. Car is on jack stands.

Maybe I'm looking at the back up light switch. If so, where's the speed impulse sensor?

Garage
Sensor/s location.......

Remove the left rear tire and you will find the reference and speed sensors by the transmission bell housing. Follow the two (2) black cables to the sensors.

The speedo sensor plugs into the left side of the trans to the front of the drive flange. That works the speedo, if the speedo works. Follow the wire.
