Sideview Mirror Options for SC?

I'm not digging the flag mirrors on my SC. Besides the later aero mirrors found on the 964/993 models, what other options are out there? I really like the look of these mirrors on the car below. Anyone know where I can source these?

I might go with these Vitaloni Sebring Mach 1 mirrors (Pegasus - Vitaloni Sebring Mach 1 Mirror - Flat Lens) but, they are a little too small for me, but at least they can be fitted to the existing base.

Anything else out there? Thanks. Search did not come up with much. Jim

PS: to the folks I am borrowing photos from, thank you for the use of your pics. Please let me know if you would like me to remove them. Apologies in advance if I offended. Your cars are hot, BTW.

If ever I would do a "not-correct" R-gruppe type build.....I would use these kind of mirrors used for Formula cars. Gives the impression of "minimalist" with narrow support structure, but have more usability than the Porsche 935 mirrors---->

If you like something closer instead to the first pic... maybe something like this from the same catalogue and manufacturer?-->

Pegasus - Vitaloni Californian Mirror - Left Side

993's have awful, wide stems...IMHO....and I think the original poster was influenced by this as part of his opening remarks.

Busta Rib,
I've had really good luck with my Vitaloni Sebring mirrors. Checkout this link to thread showing you how to do it...others have had good success with the mod also...

What do people think of Raydot mirrors for early cars?

BTW.... 911jettat did a nice job combining those mirrors on a stock base. Good show.

I ended up buying those California mirrors that were available in the For Sale section. Gonna try and install them in the next couple months and will post pics. Need to figure out a way to do it without drilling more holes, if I can. I'm thinking of making an adapter plate that will mate to the stock mounting holes, but not sure how that will look. Thanks again for the tip.

Jim

I agree the aero mirrors, whille a nice improvement over the flag mirrors, are still pretty hefty. Pics tell all- look at how much they stick out on my racecar

The side mirror replacement is an itch I keep wanting to scratch. Thanks for posting pics of different choices. I was thinking safety cage clamp on mirrors, but some of the Vitaloni and SPA mirrors are nice choices

I put the Raydot or maybe they were from a Cobra, don't remember. I like the difference from everyone else. However they are not adjustable which is a pain when you first install them.
