DE coming up, need some tape...

Does anyone know where I can get some tape that will not hurt my car? I have a Guards Red 930 and want to tape up the front, mirrors, and wheel wells. I would really like some red tape so it will blend in well but am mostly interested in getting some tape that does not hurt the finish. Anyone have advice on where I can find something like that?

I've heard the tape used for paint edging is good. Looks like masking tape and the stuff I've used comes in blue - will give you that patriotic look!

http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/

search on tape

you are looking for racer tape, strong stuff, but will come off quite clean, and any residue will come off with car polish

Problem with the masking tape is it is not thick enough to stop a stone chip if the stone is bigger than a pea. this stuff will.

your choice

I always use clear (matte finish) shelf paper readily available from Home Depot, Lowes and the like. One roll costs ~$5 and is enough material to cover the front bumper, hood and more 6-8 times.

Removal is easy - rarely leaves a residue unless its been naking in the sun for a couple of days - even at that the adhesive simply rolls off with your fingers.

Go with what mm86911 says. Works great. Maybe put some racers tape on the leading edge, otherwise at high speed it may start to peel off.
