Modified 3.2 ignition question

The 3.2 I posted a thread on a while back is in completion stages. The short list is:

9.8:1 JE pistons
Headwork by Memphis Motorwerks
Jerry Woods GE-60's, springs, retainers
46mm PMO's
Rods resized and balanced
Raceware rod bolts
Complete rebuilding inside case, new head studs

I finally elected to not go the twin-plug route thus the lower compression ratio, for a several reasons. I have a locked distributor from a 930 (and yes, we changed the drive gear on the crank to coincide). The engine should be completed and ready to start up in a couple more weeks.

I'm down to planning the ignition system...I'm thinking about an MSD 6AL box, but will need a timing computer to control the advance (hence locked distributor). MSD's website lists a couple of products that should do the job, but I'd appreciate any feedback from those that may have gone this route already.

Wayne, I see that you have the 6AL, can you get the MSD computers also?

Some progress photos are at my site:

Thanks,
Jack McAllister

Cool!

Search for the user name "A Quiet Boom" and "timing" - Christian put some sort of MSD product with a customisable timing curve onto his 3.0 with Zeniths. He was very happy with it.

A few 3.0 questions

I have no idea which MSD product he is actually refering to!
