Question Console Bracket Stop

Completed my Wevo transplant, including the centre console re & re. Inside the cassette holder is a small plastic piece called a Console Bracket Stop (part # 91155251900). Can anyone tell me why this piece is there. It must have some function, but I don't get it. What am I missing?

Cassette Holder

OK I get it. The stop is for attaching a cassette holder which I don't have. Anyone out there have one that would fit or could recommend a source?

I have the cassette holders in my console and want to remove them. I think you just helped me know how they are held in. I haven't taken it apart yet but was wondering how they were attached. Once I get them out, I'll be selling them if you are interested ...

Just a thought, include all misc mounting hardware in your sale.

Thanks 86 911 Targa - good idea. I'll be sure to do that and make a diagram/label parts. (I have to do that to remember how it goes together these days)

I inherited one in the glove box when I bought my '86. Finally decided to look up the part number today. I also have no idea where it goes, and I don't have a cassette holder.
