Basics to a 3.6 tranplant
Bill V. mentoned,
"A very nice relatively inexpensive transplant package is a late 92 thru 94 964 or 95 993." Is there a problem with later engines doing the engine swap? I am looking at a 3.6 from a '96 993. |

There's no problem with using a '96 or later engine (quite the opposite, in fact), as long as it's a European one that doesn't have the OBD-II stuff.

I guess the "inexpensive" part refers to the fact that post '95 engines are more expensive than 92-95.
