New Member/Owner Needs Help

Team 911,
I am the proud new owner of a 1984 Carerra Cabriolet! Excited is an understatement!

I got the car today and can see some things that I will be looking to correct. I am a big DIY guy. First think I noticed is a pipe/tube running the passenger side of the car that has been crushed. Looks like someone picked it up in the wrong place....

I would like to order this tube/pipe and replace it. I just don't even know what it is. The tube is metal, kind of yellow color.

ALSO... Can anyone point me to a good parts catalog/diagram source? I would like to be able to go in and see what parts are where and be able to pull part numbers.

Thank you!

Oh, and that tube is one of your hard oil lines going to your oil cooler.

Ordering a new front oil cooler line may be easier said than done.

Guys adding a front cooler to early cars with no front cooler often use Aeroquip type hose because of this.

If you search for it, there is a terrific discussion on this site about repairing a crushed oil cooler line, and it is just up your DIY guy alley.

Thumbs up

$5 and a beer, and a torch, and a compressor, and some plumbing, and some elbow grease.
