Dash pad install help
I had my dash pad recovered. And on reinstall I am having a very hard time getting the white plastic clips secure into the metal dashboard. I have tried with and without the plastic bushing. When kneeling down so eye level is where the clips should be there is about a 1/8" gap with the plastic clips in the hole. no matter how much i push down on the top of the dashpad I can not get the clips to set in. For anyone who has done this, is there any trick to this ? I'm going crazy.

there are also a few bolts that go through the metal dash above the instrument cluster and at the two ends as well as by the center dash vent. the two above the instrument cluster could be hanging up and not letting the dash fully seat vertically.
