Two turbos, one for the bros and one for the... RUF build
I know a lot of guys have been following this build on Instagram so sorry to the Pelican family that i took me so long to post here. I have been pretty busy with customer work and engine builds and just havent had the time, but here goes
I think all of us here can agree that the Yellowbird is probably one of the most bada$$ cars ever built, I know some guys have built tributes, but I wanted to build the closet example I could using all Genuine Ruf parts I could get my hands on... 7 years ago I set out on my parts hunt, and with good luck and great relationships, have managed to put a pretty good collection together... But first I needed a chassis, so what better to start with then a one owner 88k mile 89.5 g50 car! ![]() ![]() ![]()

was a little disappointed in the fitment of the lights on the front bumper, for this kind of money I expected a little better, but this will be addressed later when the car is broken down for full respray and gutter delete

chose to run a 964 front bumper smile I know its not correct but looks so much better then the welting that RUF supplies you with, Also a set of NOS early Hella headlights which the RUF runs

So after a few phone calls I was able to get my hands on a genuine fuel that, which I stripped and refinished and a boost gauge (yes, stay tuned, boost coming )

With having no history on the motor I decided to scope the cylinders, do a mini clean up and reseal and send it, fingers crossed!
