MFI crossbar return spring

Hi

My crossbar return spring appears to have slipped (arrow), I think it should be on top (star).

Someone previously also repositioned the pivot point of the spring - not sure why (pict2)

I'd like to either replace, or reposition the current spring, as my idle is not returning to set point always.

In either case I'm not sure how to approach that - lots of spring tension!

Suggestions for repositioning or replacing with new?
